Streetsboro Demographics Page

Streetsboro is a community where many small and medium sized industries employing between 50 to 500 employees flourish.  It is an ideal location for the small industry that represents a high percentage of the area's manufacturing capacity.  The City of Streetsboro established Enterprise Zones in 1989.  Enterprise Zones enable Streetsboro to negotiate real and personal property taxes for a 10-year period.  Streetsboro has also recently acquired a segment of Foreign Trade Zone 181.  The main objective of the Foreign-Trade Zone program is the creation and retention of jobs through increased export activity.  Companies use foreign trade zones to maintain the cost competitiveness of their U.S. based operations vis-ŕ-vis their foreign-based competitors.  Zone status provides an opportunity to reduce certain operating costs associated with a U.S. location that are avoided when operating from a foreign site.

Enterprise Zone Agreements

The City of Streetsboro established Enterprise Zones in 1989.   Enterprise Zones enable Streetsboro to negotiate real and personal property taxes for a ten-year period.  Currently, maximum abatements in Streetsboro are 75% for 10 years.  Amount and length of the abatement are based on real estate  taxes generated, number of jobs created, and total payroll over the length of the abatement.
