• Honoring our First Responders: 9/11 Remembrance Day

  • September 11th has become a day of remembrance- A day in which we are reminded of the lessons and strengths that emerged 19 years ago.
     
    Sandy Dahl, wife of Flight 93 pilot Jason Dahl words are still powerful and reminder to us all-
     
    "If we learn nothing else from this tragedy, we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate.”
     
     
  • On this day of Remembrance the Streetsboro Chamber
    of
    Commerce
    would like to invite you to view this special
    honoring our City's First Responders.

    We would also like to recognize the generous donations from local businesses and community members, enabling us to provide meals to our heroes on duty on
    Friday, September 11th.

    The Streetsboro Fire Department
    will conduct its annual
    9/11 Remembrance Ceremony.
     
    On Friday, September 11, 2020
    at 9:45
     
     
     
    The ceremony will begin with a procession of public safety personnel from the fire station to the memorial.
     
    The memorial bell will be rung by the Fire Chief.
     
    A sequence of ringing a bell or chime in a sequence of 5 times is the traditional signal of a firefighter line of duty death.
     
    During the annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, we will issue this signal in remembrance of our fallen brothers and sisters in public service.
