Networking Meetings- The Chamber hosts networking luncheons, educational workshops and after hour social events for Chamber members to network with one another. Guest speakers address topics of interest to Chamber members and guests
Portage County Chamber of Commerce Directory- The Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce, in association with Record Publishing Co. and other Chambers throughout Portage County, publish an annual Chamber Directory. This directory is distributed throughout Portage County and includes a listing of member businesses along with services
provided, business addresses, phone numbers and websites. Advertisement space is available to members
Primary Referrals- It is the policy of the Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce to serve as a referral resource for residents, businesses and visitors
Dissemination of Marketing Materials- Members have the opportunity to provide marketing materials and promotional items to the Chamber for display at the Chamber business office and at Streetsboro City Hall, as well as at the designated membership table during luncheons and special events
Internet/Website- The Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce maintains a website on which members receive a free listing. For those members businesses with existing websites,
the Chamber will provide a free link from the Chambers site. The website, updated in early 2013, also enables members to post their own events on a calendar which the entire
business community can see
Group Insurance Plan- Through the Chamber’s affiliation with NOACC we are able to offer group health insurance policy discounts. Please reference the NOACC benefit information
Business Discounts-Through the Chambers affiliation with Northern Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce (NOACC), the Chamber can offer its members group rates on health insurance, workers compensation, payroll processing, credit card processing, collections, office supplies and FedEx to Chamber members. Please reference the attached NOACC information
Membership List — Target your marketing with a listing of members of the Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce. Only members can obtain a single, complimentary mailing list by request at no charge once per year. This information is available as an electronic database and does not include email addresses. The cost for printed mailing labels are $15 per set and additional membership lists may be obtained for a $10 fee
Conference Room Use- Members are welcome to use Chamber conference room at 43 Office Center with prior notification and approval
Chamber Quarterly Newsletter- The Chamber distributes a quarterly newsletter that informs members of upcoming events, member to member discounts, promotional and sponsorship opportunities, and important information pertaining to the local business community
Streetsboro Employment Expo- New in 2013, the Chamber will host an Employment Expo March 20 in collaboration with the City of Streetsboro. All members in good standing have the opportunity to participate as an recruiting organization at no cost
Certificate of Origin- Certification of international shipping documents are provided to Chamber member businesses by request. Contact the Chamber to learn more
Letters of Good Standing and/or Letters of Support- Members are issued letters of good standing to confirm membership status. Letters of support are customarily used within grant applications. Letter requests must be approved prior to being issued
Email Notifications- Regular email notices keep members up to date on the latest Chamber news and events
Member to Member Email Blasts- Member-to-Member emails are typically sent out the last day of each month. Information included within the member email blast is strictly Chamber member business announcements, information and business related news. Contact the Chamber to learn more about the format requirements and guidelines
Chamber Scholarship Fund- Each year, the Chamber gives back to the community by offering scholarships to Streetsboro High School’s finest young students
Various Sponsorship Opportunities- There are many sponsorships at all levels available for members, including the Employment Expo, Golf Outing, Health Fair, Autumn on the Lake,
after hours socials, networking luncheons, educational workshops, experts series and more
Assist with Grand Opening, Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies, Ground Breaking & Anniversary Celebration- Through planning and publicity, the Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce helps members celebrate special occasions with a free ribbon cutting ceremony and a variety of other ceremonial events. Photographs are taken of the ribbon cutting and
featured in the Chamber section of Streetsboro’s weekly newspaper The Streetsboro Gateway News
Membership Discount Program- Current Chamber members are invited to participate in this program by offering a 10% discount to fellow Chamber members for services or items for sale. Additional discounts can be offered. Discounts will be valid during the membership year and can be renewed on a yearly basis
Women in Business Breakfast Lecturer Series Co-Hosted with the
Kent Chamber of Commerce- Strengthen your leadership skills and knowledge of local successful women through our combined breakfast lecturer series with the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce. Networking and information is not just limited to women, all are welcome
Official Chamber Logo- Members receive the right to use our official Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce logo on their website and publications. The use of the logo lends credibility to your business
Membership Window Decal- Each member receives a window decal sticker to proudly display your support of Streetsboro business community. Sixty-three percent of consumers are more likely to buy from a Chamber member
Opportunity to Participate- Member participation is encouraged. Members in good standing are invited to contribute their time and expertise by assisting on the Chamber’s Promotion & Fundraising, Membership and the Advisory committees
Research Information- The Chamber can provide economic profiles, population projections and additional information
